Director of Sales

At Oktopost we believe that a successful sales team makes connections with its prospects & customers and creates long-lasting relationships by positioning and selling value and impact. As the Director of Sales for North America, you will be responsible for making sure the entire team is in tune with that goal. You will be managing a team of 5-8 full-cycle Account Executives in an expanding B2B marketplace. We are looking for a self-starting professional with managerial experience and a proven track record in B2B, SaaS, and sales. The Director of Sales for North America will be based in the US out of Oktopost's Grand Rapids office and will report directly to the VP of Global Sales.
Responsibilities
  • Leading and Managing the North America Account Executives
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets as set by the organization
  • Develop and implement the North American sales strategy
  • Support the team by representing Oktopost as the senior leader in live pipeline opportunities. 
  • Develop a weekly cadence of pipeline reviews and discussions with AEs
  • Motivate and energize the North America Account Executives to make proactive decisions in all their communications with clients
  • Create and publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals and keep the management team appraised of progress
  • Assess the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in response to competitive changes
  • In collaboration with the Director of Sales UK & Sales Enablement Manager implement a sales training and orientation program to educate new hires as the team grows
  • Create a meaningful pipeline with the SDR Manager & ensure we deliver best practices and team alignment around outbound sales activity
  • Work with the Sales Enablement team and deliver to the Account Executives ongoing training, bespoke sales assets, and tools to help positive revenue outcomes
  • Represent Oktopost at conferences and networking events
Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration is preferred
  • 3+ years experience in Sales Management
  • 10+ years experience in direct, B2B, SaaS sales
  • Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
