Saying goodbye to google+

Following its decision to sunset Google+, Google has recently announced the timeline for the shutdown of their APIs.

Starting next week, on January 28, 2019, Google will commence a progressive shutdown process, with API calls starting to fail intermittently up until March 7, 2019.

To prepare for this process, we’ve removed the ability to connect new Google+ pages to Oktopost, and starting next week we will remove the option to post new content to Google+. Previously scheduled content will still go out as planned until March 7, 2019.

Finally, on March 7, 2019, we will remove all connected Google+ pages from Oktopost and shut down all data collection processes that use the Google+ APIs. While no new data will be available from the social network, customers who previously connected Google+ pages will still be able to access their old analytics data in Oktopost.
